i'm a terrible blogger...

but i'm a pretty awesome mother.

i've realized that sometimes things have to take a back seat. and although it would be nice to pursue photography full time, there is just no way to be a full time teacher, full time photographer, and full time mother.

as it is, i have to share time between teaching and mothering... and i don't love that. but, it is the path i chose to take, so for now i will travel that path. and hopefully someday i can take a new path... but that day is not today.

baby number two is expected to be here in six weeks. and if she/he is anything like baby number one, that could mean two weeks.

i am so ready to have this baby. and yet so not ready. i don't think there is ever a time where you are completely prepared for parenthood. i'm still not ready for the things that come with being a parent to maeve, but i roll with it. i live and learn and do my best.

hopefully i'll blog again before the end of the year, but if i don't... merry christmas, happy new year, and might as well throw in happy valentines day. i kid. i kid. kind of. ;)

i wonder if blogging from my phone will help keep me up to date with my blogging.

i usually have a minute or two to spare.

instead of tweeting, instagramming, or facebooking, i could be blogging!

hello blogosphere

well folks...

it has been a year since my last blog. that's right... one. whole. year.

for those of you that don't know, i started a photo project two years ago. i wanted to take one picture every day for a year and then blog about it.

one year later, i had accomplished my goal. and then i stopped blogging. for a year.

i didn't realize it had been that long until i went to my old blog yesterday and discovered the date of the last post. you see, i was wondering about some things that i had experienced during my last pregnancy, and since my memory was failing me, i got the idea to check my old blog. i knew i had kept a daily journal there and often talked of my pregnancy. when i arrived at  www.mindybalut.blogspot.com , i saw the date. 9/13/11.

i don't think it is coincidence.

to be honest, i had been thinking about blogging again, but was wrestling with the idea of starting a whole new blogspot, or blogging at my old one.

i felt that my "one day" blog had passed on. and it didn't feel right adding more posts there. so i just kept putting off making a decision.

and then i went to my old blog. saw that it had been an entire year (to the date!!) and decided it was time to give my followers everything they've been waiting for.

but please be aware, this is not going to be a daily blog. it might not even be a weekly blog (although, i'm hoping to post at least once a week). this will just be a place for me to share my life and my dreams with my friends and family.

hence the blog title.
